Xiao Dadong Roast Duck Restaurant
Lu One Mall, Madang
Dadong Roast Duck Restaurant originated from Beijing.
Dadong's Culinary Legend:
" 'Zhi Ya' meaning 'hot duck' mentioned in the annals of 'Qi Min Yao Su' is the earliest documentation of the 'roast duck' in China, while the record in 'Yin Shan Zheng Yao' marks the beginning of the Beijing roast duck. However, it was not until the Qing Dynasty that roast duck was considered among Beijing's delicacies."
We found this little treasure in one of the nearby malls. There is always a long queue in front of the restaurant during peak hours so we had planned to have dinner at a non-peak hour. Our chance finally came. It was worth our patience. Customer service was good. Roast duck was YUMMILICIOUS! We ordered a plate of loofah gourd to complement our duck, and that was delicious too. Now I wanna go back and try ALL of their dishes!!!
