Lalaport Shanghai Jinqiao
Lalaport 上海金桥
The first Lalaport mall outside of Japan by Mitsui Fudosan. It is actually known as the Mitsui Shopping Park here in Shanghai. A 18 meter or 59 feet Freedom Gundam stands tall and proud at the entrance of the mall.
We sat on Line 9 to Taierzhuang Station and walked about 15 mins in search for Lalaport. No signboards around yet so I used my good ole Google Maps to lead us to Gundam.
Weather was perfect as you can see. When we reached Lalaport, there was a tent set up for some performances. I thought they were promoting Japan. Nope! There was a cabaret dance, a young boy singing an English song, a group of dancers dancing to Highschool Musical and a young dancer promoting his dancing skills as he was a dance instructor.
Nevertheless, they were all quite entertaining.
