Bagan Datoh or now known as Bagan Datuk
I prefer the old name of Bagan Datoh just cos it's me. I love original names.
Isn't this a darling little town?
They have painted it, made it look so cheerful.
There are a lot of murals too around the town but it was drizzling when we visited, therefore I didn't get a chance to walk around. I must go back.
A little history about Bagan Datoh:
This town started in 1896. It used to be called Sungai Keling.
Its name was changed to Bagan Datoh to show that a Malay community had built their homes at the edge of Sungai Perak. It was rich with coconuts and cocoa back then.
