Hummingbirds are in love with this plant. It could grow up to 6 feet tall.
This plant is complicated to me.
The yellow flower-like structure is not the flower. It is known as flower bracts.
A bract is a specialized leaf. They are usually bright colored structures and are mistaken for petals. A bract is not a part of a flower.
The white flowers emerge from the flower bracts.
