A unique name for a Thai restaurant located in Hulu Langat, Ampang. And oh my, it was quite a journey on a hilly and bumpy road. If you know the location of the famous Bukit Ampang lookout point, the entrance to this restaurant is just about 5 minutes away (2.4 km) on Jalan Hulu Langat.
This restaurant appears like a floating restaurant but it is actually a huge hut on stilts. The surprise is that you get your food served via a boat! It is a smart move as this restaurant is designed around a lake. Rather than waiters walking all around the lake a hundred times a day, the boat is a faster way to get dishes to the tables.
Drive slowly!
Almost there!
There's the restaurant!
They grow their own vegetables!
BBQ seafood on charcoal grills
Their menu is HUGE! I don't know how they handle it. They easily featured 100 types of Thai and local dishes and at least 20 kinds of desserts. Phew!
A pretty view indeed!
The customers can see how the Mango Sticky Rice dessert is made.
There's also a Som Tum stall on the left where you can see how it is made. The Thai lady will happily explaint to you about the ingredients she used.
Waiter getting the juice to serve!
Waiter piling his boat up with dishes to be served!
Dishes from the kitchen!
And off he goes!
