Longhua Detention House
Former site of Songhu Garrison Headquarters of the Kuomingtang
This prison held more than 9000 political prisoners between 1927 and 1937. 800 of them were executed here.

"Detention house controlled by the Kuomingtang Songhu Garrison Headquarters, commonly called Longhua Prison, was first built in 1916 for detaining revolutionaries and patriots. It was rebuilt in July 1926. From March 1927 to the winter of 1937, it was used as a detention house by the Headquarters of Songhu Station Troops and the Songhu Garrison Headquarters for detaining communists and patriots. The original building was destroyed in the war and it was restored in 1991"
