This is Kampar market where one can easily find yummy stall food. Founded in 1887, Kampar was a small tin ore town in Perak. Today there is an old township and a new township. Of course this market is located in the old township.
A famous Char Kuey Teow stall in the market. This man just sits on a stool and fries the flat noodles for one plate after another while his wife takes the never ending orders from customers. That lady is one fierce looking and sounding being. When we ordered, she said "Have to wait for one hour. Still want?" Yeah we still wanted to try. Unfortunately the order never came!Kampar coffee

These are caramelized egg fritters. It is made of fluffy strands of fried batter bound together with stiff sugar syrup. It is a Manchu snack where it is originally sweet. It consists of eggs, butter, flour, and rock sugar or honey.
