May I introduce to you GOCHIN POMELO NATURE PARK along Jalan Ampang Tambun in Ipoh. I have visited this pomelo farm for a few times, each time bringing a new visitor. I totally love this pomelo orchard because it just portrays pure happiness! They are very enterprising people. Other than selling sweet pomelos (and sweet & sour ones) as fruits, they also sell pomelo skins (as snacks), pomelo anti mozzy spray, pomelo for night sleep spray, pomelo shampoo, pomelo soap, and pomelo tea.
Tambun is famous for its iron-ore soil and surrounded by limestone hills, this little town produces fantastic fruits. Anyhow even though GOCHIN is known as a Pomelo orchard, it has other fruits as well. Let's talk a walk together here.
Chicken manure as fertilizer. The pomelo trees are fertilized 3 times in a year.
These are pomelos that are unwanted in order for those on the tree to grow to its maximum potential. Each tree produces about 800 pomelos. These trees are about 40 years old!
