Qinghua restaurant is located at 123 East Street, Nan Men, Suzhou.
We thought it was a nice looking air-conditioned restaurant and so we were looking forward to some good food to end our first evening in Suzhou.
I was VERY disappointed with this restaurant.
The food was pretty good, no doubt, but
SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN A NON SMOKING RESTAURANT!
There were Non-Smoking signs all over the restaurant, yet, customers were allowed to smoke,
IN THAT ENCLOSED AIR-CONDITIONED place.
I was speechless.
We did not finish our dinner. In fact, we packed the rest of it and left.

I must say this restaurant serves some very unique Suzhou dishes.

Staff unbothered by the smoking. Why put up the Non Smoking signs then?
Just promote this restaurant as a smoking restaurant in an air conditioned environment. At least customers are ready for it and some may be willing to put up with the smoking.
Look at the mess from the cigarettes. Nobody seemed to care!
Yes, the food here is pretty good and tasty. But if you cannot take the smell of cigarette smoke, your whole dining experience would be spoilt.
