Xiao Jiao Se
A little shop with only 4 tables and a small kitchen. The lady boss who was making Yau Char Kwai or Yoo Tiao or Cakoi outside the shop was the one who caught our eye. She is such a friendly person.
We just got off the metro at Xiangmen Station in Suzhou and was looking for a breakfast place before we hit Pingjiang.
When we were walking by, we stopped and looked, and she said "You want to eat?" with a big smile. So we asked what she was making. She said she was frying yoo tiao, radish cakes and crispy balls. She said have them with warm soya bean milk for breakfast.
We did! We sat by the glass panel and watched our breakfast being made. Fresh!
