Vigeland Sculpture Park.
The artist was Gustav Vigeland (1869 - 1943).
All 212 sculptures are created in bronze, granite and cast iron, and took 20 years to complete.
Vigeland’s works symbolize every aspect of human life. And, his sculptures are naked so as to remain timeless.
The 46 feet monolith stands the tallest at the highest point of the park. It depicts 121 human figures intertwined together; interpreted as people’s longing and striving for spirituality.
This park looks secluded and lonely in my photos. It really was not. There were a lot of people around. There were tour groups here and there, and families as well. I was just very patient with my photography!
