Saigon Opera House
It was built in 1897 by the French and served as a venue for European cultural events during the French colonization of Vietnam. Its architecture resembles the Petit Palais in Paris. The statues of the 2 women at the entrance follows the Greek Caryatids of Erechtheion. On the rooftop, there's 2 angels honoring the Lyre guitar.
Saigon Opera House is located just next to the grand Hotel Continental Saigon.
We were lucky! The Saigon Concert was on when we were around that area. Was good to hear music on the streets.
Hotel Continental Saigon, 1880 (just next door)
People watching the concert!
Concert over!
