MALAYSIAN STREET in Ho Chi Minh City
Nguyen An Ninh is known as Malaysian Street. Located right next to the Ben Thanh Market. It is a row of shops offering Halal food. There's tailors who can make baju kurungs and baju Melayus in one day. There's even Halal Vietnamese coffee!
I had to buy something from here cos I wanted to pay in Ringgit!!! Yupp, you are allowed to pay your purchases in Malaysian Ringgit here.
It really does feel like pasar pagi / malam in Malaysia on foreign soil.
Was speaking to the young man from this shop. He refused to be in the photo because he was shy. He spoke fluent Malay. WOW! As A Vietnamese, that was impressive.
