Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Wall


Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Wall Road

Located in the Hoan Kiem District, just off the Old Quarters. This wall was made by 20 local artists and 15 International artists, 100 artisans from pottery villages, 500 children in the year 2010, to mark the 1000th (millenial) anniversary of the founding of the Thang Long Citadel (Anicient Hanoi). This wall is 3850 meters (12,631 feet) long. 

The wall consists of:

  • Part A1: Historical period from the era of Dong Son to the dynasties of Ly, Tran, Nguyen, and Le, along with the line “1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi” 
  • Part A2: Typical patterns present on the brocade and architecture of 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam
  • Part A3: Pottery paintings of Vietnamese and international children with the theme "Hanoi - the City for Peace"
  • From part A4 to A9: Modern artworks of Vietnamese and international artists
