Hanoi Train Street
We walked from the hotel to this street. Quite a distance but plenty of things to see and of cos plenty of traffic to avoid!
There are police stationed at this street because there was an accident last year where a stupid tourist got knocked by the train. I believed the tourist was trying to be funny and got too close to the moving train when taking photos. So now, the cafe owners had to stand at the entrance to this street, where the barriers are, to get customers. A pain for them but that’s usual cause from one bad egg!
A lady from Cafe Van greeted us. She then asked permission to get us to her cafe. I was just glad I didn’t gave to beg the police to let us in. We ordered Egg Coffees and waited. Lucky for us, the train schedule was good. Didn’t have to wait in between 2 trains.
The train street is beautifully decorated. It is nice to sit in the cafes and enjoy a drink.
That’s our lady asking us to walk faster haha for fear of the police.
Train schedule
Waited for the 8.50AM train and 9.20AM train to pass by.
