Siu Siu Restaurant

One of my favorite haunts! Siu Siu is located very near to the Thean Hou Temple, Robson Heights. You may not realize it is a restaurant though as it is nestled in lush greenery; literally a little forest in town!

A few things about this place you must be prepared for before you visit:
1) There is no menu. So, either you do your research first or ask the person who takes your order. They will ramble on and on and on about dishes they have until you see stars!
2) Don't expect warm and friendly service. They are not rude just very direct in running the restaurant their way. As long as they don't yell at me, I will keep going back for their scrumptious cooking.
3) It is not a fancy place. Just simple tables with plastic chairs. No air-conditioning. Could be humid and hot whilst eating, depending on the weather and where you are seated.
4) Car park is not a problem if you are early. There's plenty of space opposite  the restaurant, in an open space. However, this restaurant can get very crowded so don't complaint if you are late. As you can see, this restaurant is situated right by the road so not much space for parking unless you are willing to walk and park further away.

People raved about Siu Siu's Char Siew (roasted pork) but I come for their curry vegetables. Yes, it looks like a plain pot of curry with mixed veggies BUT THE TASTE IS UNEXPLAINABLE. It is creamy. It is flavorful. It is rich. I just want more and more when I am eating it. It is just SO GOOD.

These buns go so well with the curry.
Sang Har Meen here is deeeeelicious.

This is the Char Siew that Siu Siu is famous for. These char siu (roasted pork) has the right amount of charring and caramelizing on the outside, and moist and tender in the inside. Everyone loves this dish.

Steamed organic chicken with homemade garlic ginger sauce. Lovely and tasty.

Pork knuckle. Yeah I know it looks ugly but it tasted pretty good.
Their variety of stir-fried veggies are lovely here too.
